Younger Generations Won’t Know These Old Car Features
Carburetors
If you check under the hood of an old muscle car, you’ll spot a large part sitting on top of the engine, just below the air filter. That’s the carburetor, and its job is to mix fuel and air for the engine.
Most car manufacturers started moving away from carburetors in the early 1980s. They were replaced by newer technology like fuel injection systems. Carburetors were becoming too outdated, limiting both the car’s performance and fuel efficiency.
