Younger Generations Won’t Know These Old Car Features
Curb feelers
Curb feelers can be thought of as the early version of today's parking sensors. These metal rods were attached low on the car's body, near the wheels, to help drivers park and prevent scratches on their shiny rims.
Curb feelers would make a loud noise when they touched the curb, letting the driver know there wasn't any more room. This idea was smart for its time, but it was soon replaced by more advanced systems that didn’t disturb people nearby as much.
