Thoughtful Tiny Wood House: How the Designer Made It Comfortable for a Couple in Their 60s
The grass smells fresh after the rain, with the mist lingering in the air as the sun hasn't yet evaporated it. This cozy cabin on the forest's edge has been completed for two months and will soon be ready for occupancy. Funded by a pair of retired professors, it was built as their vacation retreat. The cabin's design features pure wood, with a simple interior that makes it feel spacious, despite its compact size.
The cabin is laid out in a loft style, including a living room, open kitchen, independent shower room, and three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, while the two smaller bedrooms are different sizes—one with another king-sized bed, and the smaller one with a single bed to keep the space less crowded, perfect for guests. A small vestibule is set up at the entrance, and a balcony in the attic offers a cool breeze and scenic views.
Despite the simple layout, there are some thoughtful touches inside the cabin. Ready for a tour? Follow me!
