We really can't figure out why a photographer would suggest this pose for parents and their newborns. Maybe it's meant to symbolize both parents supporting the child throughout life with their hands. However, it looks like the only thing this pose achieves is making the baby uncomfortable, possibly causing them to pee or poop. So, perhaps the parents should consider supporting the baby while wearing a diaper.

This unfortunate baby is caught in an uncomfortable situation. His mom isn't supporting his head properly, and his dad isn't adjusting his position, leading to the baby getting wet.
