Taking photos of newborns in certain positions can be challenging because they lack the neck strength to hold themselves up for long. When you see pictures where a baby seems to be sitting up in their arms and smiling, it's often thanks to Photoshop or a lot of effort from the photographer to get a few perfect shots. Some parents don't realize this until they attempt similar poses at home, only to discover their baby mostly has their face pressed into the bed.

In reality, it's unlikely to capture a baby in such a pose, especially as the photoshoot goes on.
