This photo has been making rounds on the internet, and it always evokes a 'The Walking Dead' feel. It seems like the residents are confined to their homes for safety, unable to go outside. These balconies are useless. You can't get any fresh air or smoke there. The only view you'll have is your neighbor's balcony across from you. These balconies are just an unnecessary safety hazard, especially for families with kids. Imagine children leaning on the rails or even trying to jump. It's simply a bad idea.
