13. Space Needle – Seattle, Oregon

The Space Needle is one of the most iconic landmarks in Seattle. It was built in 1962 for the World’s Fair and served as an observation tower. It stands at about 604 feet and provides marvelous views of the entire city as well as the shoreline of the nearby water. Expensive renovations were undertaken to create the Loupe, a rotating glass floor that allows you to get panoramic views without having to move.
