15 TIMES PEOPLE'S GUT FEELINGS SAVED LIVES
9. Traffic Jam
U/skelenaton: "I was driving my mom to a follow-up appointment after her back surgery from the previous month. The freeway was temporarily shut down due to a car accident, and a life flight helicopter was dispatched to transport the injured individuals. The highway patrol was directing traffic off the freeway towards the right-side exit. However, I had an intense gut feeling that we should move to the far left lane, which I followed.

Not even a minute after shifting to the left lane, a garbage truck came speeding down the freeway and collided with the car that had been directly in front of us in the adjacent lane. Given that we were in a compact sports car, the impact would have likely crushed us like a tin can under the weight of the truck, endangering both my mom and me in an instant."
